In this article, we present to your attention the idea of self-manufacturing a spiral grater. The manufacturing process is extremely simple, but the result will certainly surprise not only you, but also relatives and friends.

What we need:
- a hacksaw for metal;
- PVC pipe;
- a blade from a clerical knife;
- glue gun.
First of all, departing from the edge of the pipe by about 10-20 mm, we make an incision with a hacksaw to the middle. According to the author, the cut angle should be selected individually, since the thickness of the cut carrots or cucumbers depends on this angle.
After making an incision, we take a clerical knife and cut out all the burrs.
We measure 20-25 mm from the incision made in the previous step and cut the pipe.
Again we process the place of the incision using the same clerical knife.
The blank for the final assembly of the future grater is ready. At this stage, you need to thoroughly rinse it with alcohol and disinfect. The blade from the clerical knife should be boiled in water for about 10-15 minutes, then lubricated with vegetable oil so that the blade does not rust further.
Now insert the blade into the notch.
We take a marker and mark with lines the places that remained outside the pipe.
We carefully break off all unnecessary cutters with nippers.
Finally, in order to prevent the blade from accidentally popping out of the cut, we drip a few drops of hot glue into the cut.
The grater is ready. Cucumber or carrots need to be inserted into the grater on the side that is longer, since this part will serve as a guide. After that, it remains only to twist.
