Homemade All-Terrain Vehicle Pneumatic "MARS"

Consider another interesting instance of an all-terrain vehicle. For example, Eugene under the nickname "103" decided to build a wheel of a homemade layout. This unit should serve for trips through the forest, snow, that is, vehicles for delivery and trips home from fishing or hunting. Make all-terrain vehicle it is planned to be double, and it is also desirable that he could still take on board about 100-200 kg of cargo. The cabin is planned to be somewhat similar to a jeep.

Fixed assets spent on the creation of the machine:
1) tires from gas-66
2) The bridges from the standard UAZ were also taken
3) NIVA donated the transfer box
4) wheels from UAZ, rims from izh.
5) the suspension on standard levers from Lada was also involved ( model Lada is not specified)
6) the engine was selected from the eye machine (only the differential was welded)
7) Cardans also took from the same UAZ, two pieces, short identical.

In general, collected and what lay around idle in the garage, and now all this should serve faithfully in the new vehicle.

And so we proceed to the phased collection of the all-terrain vehicle pneumatics "Mars".
Homemade All-Terrain Vehicle Pneumatic

To begin with, the author took the wheels from gas-66, k-70. As you can see the tires are not the first freshness, they are very battered, but they are suitable for pokatushek in the snow and forests. By the way, you can see them in the image below:

The wheels were made by the author independently in his equipped garage. For them, it was necessary to take the wheels from the UAZ and also the rims from the motorcycle Izh

The beginning of the collection of the rear suspension, instead of springs, is planned to be done on traction (for economic and ethical reasons of the author) there is also a chance that due to such modernization there will be a smoother ride on the car:

We brew the differential, the plates, by the way, are welded from two sides:

We carry out work on welding and frame reinforcement:

A welded frame with dimensions of about three meters in length and 70 centimeters in width. Although in the final form it will be 330 centimeters in length and 190 in width (if measured along the edges of the wheels).

A rough idea of how the frame will be combined with the engine in the future:

And in this image, you can consider the front suspension during the assembly process:

And a little general view of the design:

The following photo, with the engine installed, is slightly different from the original plan, but it’s better for balance:

Since the entire assembly process will be carried out on the street for fire safety, it was decided to build some kind of canopy for the duration of the assembly in order to hide the future all-terrain vehicle from rain:

The appearance of the primed and painted frame looks good:

I would also like to touch on the steering. Since pure mechanics with such wheels will be rather difficult to maneuver. It is planned to take the gear lever from oki with rods that extend.

Here is the front gimbal:

When you actually figured out the frame, it's time to figure out the skin and interior:

The old grandfathers are pretty tattered, it was decided to update them:

like new.
So the steering rack with gur is located:

The generator is mounted in a similar way:

The next step was the brake and rear axle gear:

And here you can see the hydraulic handbrake that will be installed on the all-terrain vehicle:

Corrections were made in the installation of the transfer case:
before correction:

after:

The next step is connected to the side of the gearbox:

Work with clutch and brakes:

Reinforced transfer case system:

Well, after all these operations, we present the almost final form of “Mars”:

We add the body for mounting the cab and windshield:

We cover everything with plywood:

After that, it's time to do the wiring:

This is how the dashboard looks:

Already close to the final building:

And here is the final look itself (the design of the cladding fasteners was changed, the frame was strengthened, and a winch was also installed):

Here is a photo report on the collection of a winch and a protective cover:

Well, it turned out to be a pretty nice car, with all the necessary units of an all-terrain vehicle, we can rejoice together for the author of this all-terrain vehicle Mars Evgeny from the city of Vitebsk.
