For the base, a pipe with a diameter of Ø 57 was taken. Having chosen the necessary size and sawed off, the author cut a half-moon recess at the ends. It is needed in order to increase the area of contact when welding parts together. The same recess is also made for leg supports.
Further, all parts are bonded together by welding. The base should be in the form of the letter "H". After welding, the slag is beaten off and all nodes are cleaned with a grinder and a grinding disk. But here too much zeal is not necessary, since you can loosen the weld, which is simply unacceptable in this design, since it is subsequently fashionable to cripple.
Now you need to cut the hooks that will be welded to our base. On metal with a thickness of at least 6 mm, draw model and cut them out.
We weld them to a pipe with a diameter of 57 mm. we clean the welding seam and also without fanaticism.
Now go to the top of the rack. It will be telescopic, i.e. adjustable in height. For this, a pipe with a diameter of 40 mm was used so that it could easily enter a pipe with a diameter of 57 mm.
In the upper part of the pipe with a diameter of 40 mm. such a hook is welded on which the bar will rest. You need to know what diameter will be the thickness of the neck so that it does not pinch.
Now, holes are drilled in the pipes with a 10 mm drill. In order to be able to increase the height of the lift. It also increases the number of exercises that can be done.
Now all parts of the rack are assembled.
We clean the entire surface of the product for further painting. First degrease, then primer and finally paint.
And here is the end result. A great addition to the bench that the brothers authors made earlier!
